London, March/April/May 1998
More WASTER shows in London (Rock Garden / Hope & Anchor).
Derby, February 28th 1998
Spizzenergi at the Victoria Inn, Derby
Full report, set list etc.
London, Jan/Feb 1998
Matt and Simon from the band have their own other project called Waster and they played a couple of times in London. I saw them at the Rock Garden where they went down a storm!
London June 1997
In the absence of actual Spizzenergi action, various members of the band have been playing in other projects which they have started.
Cathy Tozer has a new project called Frigate, meanwhile, Matt Broughton (bass) and Simon Kinder (guitar) have a band called Waster.
London March 1997
One of the Spizzenergi backing singers, Cathy Tozer, performed a mostly solo set at the Red Eye club in Islington. She writes her own songs, plays the guitar, and is pretty damn good. She was joined by drums and bass for a couple of songs at the end. Obviously its a very different style to Spizzenergi, but three fifths of the original Spizzenergi were there and they all seemed to enjoy it too.
Blackpool 11th August 1996
Spizzenergi appeared as part of the 'Holidays in the Sun' three-day punk festival.
Unfortunately I couldn't make it, but if anyone who did go would like to write a review, or can supply a set list or photo, or even just a comment, send it in and I'll put it all here.
The performance of Where's Captain Kirk? from this show is available on video and CD.
London early 1996
The band played a low-key warm-up concert in London a couple of months ago in Shepherds Bush.
This was the first proper concert for a long time, I only heard about it after the event.
Again, if you went and have anything you want to say here about it, let me know
Yet to come.... maybe...
