(I AM AN) ISLAND

Written and first performed on a demo with Colin White in 1982, but never released on record. The original demo had some nifty guitar work and had a similar sound and atmosphere to Cure records of about the same vintage. A later demo, made with Ian Paige was more upbeat but purely keyboard-based. In live performances in the mid-80's it had a more conventional rock guitar flavour.
