All these ingredients have come together on one painting to mark the anniversary of John Lennon's murder 8 December 1980.

Today's world has seen an increase in religious fanatacism where extreme elements are taking a position where they state that their religion can be the only one. They are virtually saying..."If you are not with us you are against us." Some of us can remember the path that such blind dogmas can lead. This painting inspired by the words of John Lennon's 'Imagine' is deliberate in its attempt to encourage people to take a pro-active and yet tolerant position. To stand up for the hard fought freedoms that many of us expect to inherit on the evolutionary path to a world built on reason.

 

These pictures can truly can be called 'pop art'. Before Spizz's pop career took priority, Spizz had been trained in fine art immediately after leaving school in 1975 and was influenced by POP ART.
Spizz designed all of his record sleeves and became a picture editor's dream as virtually all of his single sleeves were reproduced in the music weeklies because of their distinctive appeal.
