Hey Spizz is playing in someone's back parlour. The rear bar at Filthy
McNasty's in EC1 is a cosy fit when this many people turn up. Great
that the place is packed from wall to wall with SpizzFans of all ages,
the boy can still pull them in. A contemporary, if not a forerunner
of the likes of the Pistols, the incarnations of the lad Spizz have
been many. Spizz'77, SpizzOil, SpizzEngergi, Althetico Spizz80, effectively
SpizzEtAl. Looking a pound or two heavier that during his full-on punk
days, Spizz still has more energy than party full of hyperactive kids
who've been on Ribena all day. Spizz went through the anthology of songs
that the crowd know and love him for, Red and Black, Spock's Missing,
Soldier Soldier along with the newer greener songs. Then a little SpizzInterlude
for some SpizzBeer and into Central Park, Where's Captain and a finale
of an explosive Soldier Soldier rendition again. The consummate showman,
Spizz never really got the chance to take his talents to TV where he
would have excelled over the lacklustre presenters that we often have
to put up with now.
